Donor Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions for Accepting Donations

YAGNA – Youth Awakening for Glorious Nation, Charitable Society is very much concerned about your privacy and data security and treats all financial information about any transaction you have with the charitable society as highly confidential. In addition, we do not share personal information of any of our donors or constituents.

The Society deeply values all contributions to sustain our mission. To protect the privacy of our donors and their special relationship with YAGNA NGO, we maintain the following policies:

• We may request personal information online, such as name, address, phone number, email address, and PAN Number only for the purposes of accepting donations to YAGNA, Vikarabad.
• We will not release or use this information for any other purpose.
• We do not trade or sell your personal information with other organisations.
• We offer donors the option to be recognised anonymously.
• Donors may request, at any time, to not receive our solicitations.
• Donors may request to not receive certain communications, such as Messages, Emails, SMS, WhatsApp Messages etc.
• We do not track, collect or distribute personal information entered by those who visit our website.
• Personal data collected through our website is encrypted using standard AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) technology.
• Our hosting data server provides data protection meeting PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), encrypted communication via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology.

To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the not-for-profit organisations and causes they are asked to support, we assure the following:

• To be informed of the society’s mission, of the way the society intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
• Donations contributed will be used to meet the running cost of YAGNA entities i.e Child Care Institutions for boys & girls, Education, Health, Skill Development & Nature Conservation initiatives.
• To be informed of the identity of those serving on the YAGNA’s Governing Board, and to expect the Board of Trustees to exercise prudent judgment in its responsibilities.
• To have access to the society’s most recent financial statements.
• To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.
• Donors shall be assured that information regarding their donations will be treated with respect and kept confidential, to the extent permitted by law.
• It is expected that all interactions with individuals representing the societies to the donor will be professional.
• To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.
• Donors shall have the opportunity to request the removal of their names from any mailing lists that the society may intend to share.
• To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.

Donations made through our online payment gateway are processed using secure and trusted third-party service providers. While we take utmost care to ensure safe and reliable transactions, YAGNA Charitable Society shall not be held responsible for:

• Any unauthorized access to donor information due to external security breaches.
• Errors, delays, or failures in processing caused by technical issues beyond our control.
• Misuse of credit/debit cards, bank accounts, or other payment methods by third parties.
• Donors are responsible for providing accurate payment and personal information while making a donation.

Donation Refund Policy

YAGNA Charitable Society has a reliable refund policy to ensure that our donors feel valued and confident about their association with us. We take the utmost care in processing donations in accordance with the mandates signed by our donors, whether made offline or online.

In the unlikely event of an erroneous deduction or if a donor wishes to cancel or modify their donation, YAGNA will respond within seven (7) working days from the date of receiving the complaint from the donor. The timeline for the refund of the incorrectly deducted amount will depend on the type of card used during the transaction.

To process a refund, we require proof of the deduction and a written communication from the donor requesting the refund, submitted within two (2) days of making the donation.

• In such cases if the receipt already has been issued, then the Donor need to return the original receipt at our official address.
• In the case of tax exemption certificate already issued, refund will not be possible.

*International donations will require minimum 60 days for refund.

What Information We Collect

• Name
• PAN number or Adhaar number
• Contact information including mobile number email address
• Demographic information such as postcode, occupation, preferences and interests, if required
• Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

We use the personal information collected from donors to process payments, communicate with donors about YAGNA Charitable Society, and carry out fundraising and other operational activities related to YAGNA’s initiatives. This information may include the donor’s name, donation amount, address, telephone number, donor comments, email address, and any other personal information provided to us (“Donor Data”). For donations made by cheque, Donor Data may also include the information visible on the cheque.

Information from Payment Processors and Other Service Providers: Payment processors allow donors to give electronically using a payment services account, a credit card, or other payment method. These processors collect certain information from donors, and you should consult their privacy policies to determine their practices.

To provide donors with the best possible experience, we work with trusted service providers and may share Donor Data and other relevant information with them or have it transmitted through their systems. These service providers may include, for example, co-location facilities, bandwidth providers, and organizations that assist non-profits with fundraising and related activities.

How We Use That Information

• Distributing receipts, Acknowledgement, Form 10BE, Statutory Documents etc. and to donors for donations and information.
• Informing donors about upcoming fundraising and other activities of YAGNA & its initiatives.
• Internal analysis, such as research and analytics.
• Record keeping.
• Reporting to applicable government agencies as required by law, acts & statutes.
• Surveys, metrics, and other analytical purposes.
• Other purposes related to the fundraising operations.

Anonymous donor information may be used for promotional and fundraising activities. Donor comments provided to us may be publicly published and included in promotional materials. We may also use available information to supplement Donor Data, helping us improve our fundraising strategies and efforts. Unless otherwise requested during the online donation process, donors will have the option to have their name publicly associated with their donation.

We use data gathered for payment processors and other service providers only for the purposes described in this policy.
